Background
Dr. Pallak Kusumgar Shah completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur with distinction in Ophthalmology and Paediatrics. She then pursued her MS in Ophthalmology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal — one of India's premier medical institutions — where she was awarded the Gold Medal and recognised as the Best Outgoing Postgraduate.
She went on to complete dual fellowships at Narayana Netralaya, Bangalore (2016-2018) — one in Cataract, Cornea & Refractive Surgery and another in Medical Retina. This intensive training at a high-volume centre gave her extensive surgical exposure across a wide spectrum of ophthalmic conditions.
Dr. Pallak now practises at Arihant Netralaya, Arihant Multispeciality Hospital in Nagpur. She has performed over 500 cataract surgeries, 200+ refractive procedures, managed 100+ keratoconus cases, and carried out 50+ corneal transplants. Her work has been recognised with international awards from ASCRS, APACRS, and AIOS, and she has published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of ophthalmic science.
